Leadership is fundamental to the change-making work we do for and with our communities. Investing in our current and emerging leaders is critical to our future, although we often lack the resources to do this as much as we would like.
Building the Australia we want starts with education
CCA, with the support of partners Origin Foundation and PwC Australia brought together 30 leaders in the first Australia We Want Solutions Forum in Melbourne on 2 August, 2017. This exceptional gathering of change-makers and thought-leaders focused on the #AusWeWant measure of educational attainment, an indicator for the #AusWeWant value of equal opportunity (and of course with relevance across other values).
Calling charity CFOs..
We are inviting your interest in a CFO Roundtable with Treasury in Melbourne (20 July) or Sydney (21 July).
At hand is an important issue that could affect capital flow into the sector: Treasury are considering the implications of changes to the treatment of ancillary fund loans and other forms of investment to DGR charities.
It’s here. It’s time. We can create the Australia we want – if we are up to the challenge and the vision that leaders from across the charities sector set at the first AusWeWant Roundtable.
Tim Costello, David Crosbie and the CCA Board and membership hope that you will join us at the National Press Club and help launch The Australia We Want, First Report.
CCA is pleased to announce that the successful CFO Forums we hosted previously are returning.
The financial, regulatory and political context has developed significantly since our last CFO Forum, with many members experiencing both cost pressures and an even greater need to innovate and better understand the financial challenges ahead. The return of these forums will provide a great opportunity for finance executives to: contribute to policy; meet ministers; share ideas; and engage in dialogue.
