Dr Dennis Young
Dr Dennis Young is a former member of Queensland Parliament and a committed anti-drug campaigner. After serving with the Queensland Police Service for seventeen years, Dennis joined DRUG ARM 1988 where he implemented award winning programs for work with at risk youth. He also serves as the Executive Director and Superintendent of the Drug Awareness and Relief Foundation Australia since 1988.
Dennis is also the Executive Director of Mental Health Association of Queensland and the Australian College of Community Services, and serves on a number of boards including Chairing the Queensland Network of Alcohol and Drugs Agency. Throughout this Dennis has acquired an MBA and PhD, and was awarded a Silver Jubilee Medal (1977) and a Centenary Medal (2001) for community service.
