Anna Draffin CEO Public Interest Journalism Initiative
Anna is an active, for-purpose non-executive and senior executive. An established leader with a background in strategy, social impact and policy, Anna brings deep insight and networks from industry, government and the community.
Anna has a specific focus on place-based policy, investment and infrastructure to help resolve complex social issues. Her current portfolio of interests includes board and advisory positions with state and local government, and philanthropy.
She is CEO of Public Interest Journalism Initiative, an independent think tank advancing the sustainability and diversity of news media in Australia. She chairs the Inner Metropolitan Partnership, a Victorian Government panel that connects business and communities with government to inform policy and services. She is also a member of the State Government’s Metropolitan Development Advisory Panel, Melbourne Life Reference Group (part of the Melbourne Revitalisation Fund), and the City of Melbourne’s Homes Melbourne Advisory Board.
Anna is motivated by developing a thriving civil society and economy including housing access, quality information and the power of creativity and innovation.
