CCA Plus One CEO Forums - Supporting Leadership and Emerging Leaders
Leadership is fundamental to the change-making work we do for and with our communities. Investing in our current and emerging leaders is critical to our future, although we often lack the resources to do this as much as we would like.
We have an opportunity right now to shape and improve NFP access to professional development that will help us support current leaders and develop our next generation of leaders. Some of Australia’s leading companies including: Westpac, Koda Capital, Atlassian, CBA, Macquarie and Minter Ellison, are prepared to offer free access for a select group of charities to their leadership development and training programs. The trials of this concept – adding one or two charity participant places to the in house training and leadership opportunities within leading companies – has been undertaken through the PlusOne program. More details on the program are outlined here.
In partnership with PlusOne, CCA is holding two CEO and emerging leaders’ forums to discuss the leadership development needs within the charities and NFP sector, what should and could be done to better support those needs, and how to better target PlusOne opportunities.
Sydney, 6th December, 10am – 12pm
Melbourne, 12th December, 10am – 12pm
These forums will influence work being undertaken by PlusOne to unlock access for NFP leaders to professional development programs within the corporate sector.
On the day we will discuss:
- Leadership needs of our sector
- Professional development priorities of our leaders and emerging leaders
- PlusOne platform and how it might be shaped to best serve those needs
